Recite the number names in order counting forwards

This task is best used with the whole class in mental/oral sessions although it can be used by groups of pupils at the computer.

A random order of numbers is presented and pupils must ‘drag and drop’ the numbers in the correct order.

Numbers are presented in four levels:

1. 1,2,3
2. 1,2,3,4,5
3. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
4. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.

• What is the next number?
• Who can drop the number 2 in to the right place?
