1800 The company builds the first weaving sheds in Preston In 1800, John Horrocks built New Preston off New Hall Lane. New Preston was made up of several rows of cottages, which were separated by weaving sheds. These were the first weaving sheds in Preston. Each street was named after one of John Horrocks' children John, Peter, Thomas, Frederick, Ann and Elizabeth. |
