Using video conferencing

What is 'video conferencing' and how would you use it in the classroom? This case study shows how one school began video conferencing and some of the ways they have used it to extend learning and teaching throughout the school: from museum sessions to inter-school links between counties.

  In Summer 2003 St Mary's RC Primary School in Chipping invited a group of consultants to help them examine how the school could promote creative writing at Key Stage One. They were keen to explore the use of new technologies and allow children and parents to experience what it was like to be an author. This case study is the story of their work, and incudes the finished article.

Projects involving Making the News

Lakeside

This event saw the launch of Making the News within CLEO.  Teams of highly-motivated the most of multimedia aspects of Making the News based at Lakeside and working in, on and around Windermere.

 

E-Mission

This was an exciting event that made the most of multimedia reportage using Making the News around the frenetic activity of an E-Mission from the National Space Centre. The objective was to make the most of Making the News and ensure good quality exemplar material for the Making the News website.
