Using forums in the Primary School

A group of schools are currently carrying out research on using the forum facility of Moodle to extend learning and teaching in Key Stage 2. There is a range of subject focusses and use extends to the school council as well.
| Ideas in literacy have included using forums to explore persuasive language in Year 6, discussing and evaluating texts and developing skills of prediction in Years 3 and 4. |  |
 | In science the group may look at prediction and hypothesis, including the use of supporting evidence. The use of initial statements in the same way as 'concept cartoons' has also been considered. |

Further ideas are under development and will be used to inform training and development of Moodle throughout CLEO.
