Requirements for your school

The school must apply for a CLEO Web gateway. The school must then install WebDAV on their server. WebDAV is currently part of windows IIS 5 and IIS 6.

It is still vitally important that the server being accessed meets the principles described in the Best Practice Guide to Preparing Your School Network and Remote Users PCs” available from the CLEO website www.cleo.net.uk.

In summary, the server being accessed remotely MUST :

  • Receive automatic operating system updates and
  • Have an up to date anti-virus software package that is configured to automatically update
    (NB: Each Local Authority has a Sophos license that covers all school owned PCs and servers)
  • Server setup on http or https. If https use port 443 and use certificate. If http use port 80
