Making the News 2 is the Successor to Making the News. MTN2 is a multimedia rich online news publishing channel. Students at registered schools can create news articles that incorporate text, sound and video (using online sound and video editor) and , once approved by a teacher, publish their news stories to the world

 Just as on the BBC News site, anyone, anywhere can view and comment on published articles. Which can include text, images, video and sound files.

 Unlike the BBC, MTN2 allows students to create and publish their own multimedia articles. Online tools allow users to edit video and sound files and manipulate images.

 Students receive feedback on their work not just from the moderating teacher but also from other users of the site.

 Users will also be able to create their own news programmes by combining video and sound articles with an avatar anchorman/woman and ‘live’ avatar reports
